House of the Dragon concept art reveals Aegon II’s original red and black armor designed for his coronation

The Targaryen family is gradually coming apart in each episode of the Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon, which is known for its high drama and intensity. Rhaenyra is currently at Dragonstone, now aware of the situation, while the Greens seize control of King’s Landing. Aegon II, Alicent’s eldest son, finds himself compelled to occupy the Iron Throne amid the ensuing turmoil, much like a square peg in a round hole. Aegon’s original costume for the coronation was quite different from the show.
Aegon’s initial red and black coronation attire
House of the Dragon concept artist Kieran Belshaw recently shared a few pictures of the coronation event that he drew before the show aired. The concept art shows a vastly different costume for Aegon II, an armor painted red and black. In the show, we got a costume that was Green and Black, which blended his Hightower and Targaryen heritage perfectly.
