Beating a show like Better Call Saul, which went out on a high, and one like Severance, which has had one of the most promising debut seasons of all time, is a real feat for this Game of Thrones prequel. It looks like House of the Dragon is set to repeat Game of Thrones’ award run, but it may skip the next awards season, given how the House of the Dragon Season 2 release date is set for somewhere in 2024 as of now.
The other category for the show was Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series, Drama. Emma D’Arcy earned a nomination but lost out to Euphoria’s Zendaya.
