House of the Dragon Episode 8 set to be the longest of the season
House of the dragon episode 7 of the show gave us a lot to look forward to. Aemond stole Vhagar, Alicent splits Rhaenyra’s arm open, Rhaenyra and Daemon get married, and Laenor’s ending is a huge plot twist. Episode 8 will introduce us to the older version of the new generation of Targaryens as the inevitable war inches closer. Critics who got to watch the episode early have said it is the best episode yet. It turns out it will be the longest as well.
Previously, Episode 6 was confirmed to be the longest of all the episodes. HBO must have decided to include a few once-deleted scenes seeing the runtime of episode 8 lengthened by a few minutes. It now sits at 1 hour 11 minutes long, and it is already the highest-rated episode on IMDb.

Fans are already on the edge of their seats for the upcoming episode. A pregnant Rhaenyra and her family will be returning to King’s Landing. The latest photos also show a face-off between the Princess and the Queen. There may also be a fight between the Targaryen and Velaryon boys. Princess Rhaenys is fighting her own battle at Driftmark against Vaemond Velaryon. On top of all this, King Viserys is sick, and Ser Otto has taken over his duties. This is more bad news for the Black faction.
