Game of Thrones Season 8 comes out in April 2019 and it’s only five months until the big day comes. We all have been waiting for the same patiently and HBO with its #ForTheThrone campaign seems to be preparing us for the big trailer reveal and if not so, at least a short teaser to confirm the exact airing date. And, as you might have guessed from the title this post is based on Iain Glen’s latest interview where he confirmed the episodes of the new season to be over 60 minutes long.

Well, Iain Glen who plays the role ofJorah Mormont in Game of Thrones recently appeared in an interview on the popular ITV show Lorraine where he had come aa s guest to promote his upcoming TV series ‘Mrs Wilson’ – a miniseries on BBC One. Joining him was his co-star Ruth Wilson. They both talked about the TV series and what it is based on.

Towards the end of the video, Iain confirmed that each Game of Thrones episode this season will be feature length. Upon the topic of Game of Thrones being brought by Lorraine Kelly, he said:

“April is when it’s all coming out…They’ll be the last. And they’re all feature-length episodes, six of them.”

Upon being asked by Lorraine if each episode was like a movie (six movies), Iain said:

This isn’t the first time that someone has confirmed the new season to have unusually longer episodes. A couple of weeks ago, Director David Nutter who is supposed to direct three episodes this season too had confirmed this via Reddit, by saying:

“Season 8 episodes will all I think to be longer than 60 minutes. They’ll be dancing around the bigger numbers, I know that for sure.”
