Two unexpected House of the Dragon Season 1 characters made a return in new episode
Daemon gets more visions, in which we saw characters from Season 1 doing unexpected things.
The House of the Dragon Season shares lots of commonalities with Game of Thrones. Both stories have supernatural and mystical elements, making George R.R. Martin‘s world even more interesting. Last week, we saw a perfect blend of supernatural elements and the mental state of Daemon, and now in the latest Episode 4, the makers have added more psychological depth to the show by further exploring Daemon’s troubled mind and Harrenhal.
In Episode 3, we saw young Rhaenyra appearing for the first time in Daemon’s vision in Season 2. In the latest episode, we see a continuation of that, but with more layers being added, with the return of Laena Velaryon in Daemon’s visions.
Housed in a finely carved wooden box, this set is an absolute must-have for any House of the Dragon enthusiast!

Young Rhaenyra and Laena Velaryon return in Daemon’s visions
Daemon beheaded young Rhaenyra in his vision for insulting him, which is reflective of his psychological disturbances and the complicated relationship between the two. The other element of surprise came in the form of the return of Laena Velaryo, Daemon’s previous wife who chose to be burnt alive by her own dragon in Episode 6 of House of the Dragon Season 1.
However, unlike Rhaenyra, Daemon isn’t seen engaging in a conversation with Laena. Instead, his visions portrayed Laena as one of the servants pouring drinks. The preview of Episode 5 suggests that viewers will see Daemon getting more visions in that episode. However, whether those visions feature young Rhaenyra and Laena again is something to watch out for next episode.
Episode 5 of the House of the Dragon Season 2 will air next Sunday at 9 pm E.T. On HBO & Max.
