The Last of Us cast and crew reflect on Joel’s fate in Season 2
HBO’s latest blockbuster The Last of Us is already in the pre-production phase of Season 2. No one can deny the fact that the show has exceeded a lot of expectations, and HBO’s one of the most expensive shows to have been ever made is certainly paid its worth. Those who have played The Last of Us video games know that things are about to get worse in Season 2, especially for Joel.
What do Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey think about The Last of Us Season 2?
In a recent interview with Esquire, Pascal said this about Season 2, “It wouldn’t make sense to follow the first game so faithfully only to stray severely from the path. So, yeah, that’s my honest answer.”
Ramsey said this about coming to terms with Joel’s fate, “If that does take place in the show, I don’t know that I’m emotionally ready for it.”
What do the showrunners think about The Last of Us Season 2?
Co-showrunner Craig Mazin hinted that in Season 2, there might be some changes. He said, “This should be fairly obvious to anyone by now, but I don’t fear killing characters. But the important thing to note is that neither Neil nor I feel constrained by the source material.”
When will The Last of Us Season 2 arrive?
On her latest visit to The Jonathan Ross Show, Bella Ramsey talked about the approximate release date of Season 2 of The Last of Us. She/they said, “It will be a while. I think we’ll probably shoot at the end of this year, the beginning of next. So it’ll probably be the end of 2024, early 2025.”
