The 2023 Emmy Awards have been postponed to 2024
A number of television fans all over the world eagerly look forward to the annual Emmy Awards celebration, where their favorite shows and stars are honored for their breathtaking performances. However, this time their wait will be a lot more than expected, as the 2023 Primetime Emmy Awards have been postponed to 2024.
The Emmy Awards 2023 will be held in January 2024
Due to the impact of the current simultaneous strike on the industry, vendors for the Emmy Awards event have been advised that the broadcast will not take place on September 18, as originally scheduled. Instead, it will now take place on January 15th, 2024.
Due to their determination to fight for better working conditions, actors and writers have been unable to market their work through interviews or talk show appearances, upsetting the timetable studios had prepared ahead of time for movie premieres and awards ceremonies.
House of the Dragon has secured 8 Emmy nominations
Just a few weeks ago, the nominees for the 75th Emmy Awards were made public, and while viewers had high hopes for HBO’s top fantasy series, House of the Dragon, it appears like the show will have to settle with just one main nomination. In the Outstanding Drama Series category, the Game of Thrones prequel is up against Succession, The Last of Us, Andor, Yellowjackets, The Crown, Better Call Saul, and The Last of Us.
Surprisingly, none of the performers were nominated for an award, despite the fact that House of the Dragon garnered one major category and eight production-related nominations. Even Paddy Considine and Emma D’Arcy’s most well-regarded performances went unnoticed.
