Interview
Rose Leslie (Ygritte) on how Kit Harington (Jon Snow) loves taking care of their baby
Rose Leslie and Kit Harington are one of the most adorable celebrity couples, having fallen in love back when they were filming for Game of Thrones together and were also an on-screen couple as Ygritte and Jon Snow. They have come a long way together since then, Leslie helping Kit with his alcohol addiction issues. As Kit was on his way to rehabilitation, the couple welcomed their first child, and it provided a boost to Harington’s mental health. Hence, it should come as no surprise he took the role of a father very seriously.
In a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Leslie talked about how diligent Harington was about taking care of their newborn, “He wore the Baby Björn loud and proud. And there were many satisfying moments; we had an understanding that, when our son cried in the middle of the night, it was on Kit to go and look after him, as I would have to wake up early to work –it was kind of glorious.”
She also talked about how difficult it was for women to get back to work after pregnancy, “It’s mind-boggling to me that women who come back to work after giving birth don’t feel supported. How can your employer expect you to sustain the mental capacity, the energy, and the drive to do it with clout otherwise?”
Do you think Kit Harington’s paternal instincts are adorable? Leave your thoughts in the comments below!
