Interview
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau never thought he would be in Game of Thrones
Sometimes a show becomes so popular, that it often hides other accomplishments of its cast. The show becomes their identity, people often recognize them by their character from the show. Game of Thrones is an example of such a franchise. The fantasy series became the biggest show of the past decade, both in terms of its budget and viewership. Actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is one of the most recognizable faces from the HBO fantasy, and most people would know him as Jaime f**king Lannister than his real name. However, there was a time when Coster-Waldau never even imagined he would be in a fantasy show with dragons.
Coster-Waldau is a practical thinking man, and mostly likes to work on projects that are grounded in reality. He was caught playing soccer/football at Sara D. Roosevelt Park on the Lower East Side of Manhatten by the New York Times, and was interviewed about various topics ranging from Game of Thrones to his latest project Against The Ice. When asked about how he felt about Game of Thrones, he said, “I never thought I would be in a show with dragons. Just goes to show you never know.”
Today, we can’t even imagine someone else playing Jaime Lannister. What do you think? Talk to us in the comments below!
