People love naming their dogs after Game of Thrones characters
Game of Thrones has a lot of great characters, and it is not a surprise that the fans are quite attached to these characters. We have heard before how people have been naming their kids after Game of Thrones characters, and we have heard about how there has been a rise in the number of Siberian Husky puppies as pets because people love the Direwolves on the show. New data now shows that people love naming their dogs after Game of Thrones characters. Read on!
A new report from Whistle and Rover.com revealed interesting statistics about how people around the world like to name their dogs on the occasion of National Dog Day, and a section was dedicated to Game of Thrones names reports Entertainment Weekly come in to lend a helping paw. Game of the Thrones leads the category of dog names inspired from pop-culture. Apparently, names like Snow (from Jon Snow) and Arya, are popular choices. Whistle also says that 62 percent of the dogs in their database which had GOT-inspired names were named after the direwolves on the show : Lady, Ghost, Nymeria, Greywolf and Shaggydog.
