Pedro Pascal in talks to join Dakota Johnson and Chris Evans in upcoming rom-com ‘Materialists’

Fans of Game of Thrones adore Pedro Pascal for his portrayal of Oberyn Martell. He has also acted in several TV series and movies, such as HBO’s video game adaptation “The Last of Us.” Despite being criticized for doing the same kind of roles, Pascal has been branching out a lot lately. His next project will see him exploring the rom-com genre in Celine Song’s ‘Materialists’.
Dakota Johnson, Pedro Pascal and Chris Evans are in talks to lead Materialists
After hyping up the MCU fans with his possible entry as Fantastic Four’s Reed Richards, Pascal might try his hands in the rom-com genre. After making her breakthrough with “Past Lives,” Celine Song is teaming up with A24 once again for her second feature film. Dakota Johnson, Pedro Pascal, and Chris Evans are in negotiations to star in the romantic comedy “Materialists”. The movie will be distributed worldwide by A24, and it is expected to premiere at the European Film Market in Berlin.
What is Materialists about?
Materialists is a follow-up to Song’s last year’s surprise hit Past Lives. The movie is a romantic comedy with a New York setting that centers on a wealthy guy and a high-end matchmaker. It is unknown what parts Johnson, Pascal, and Evans will be playing.
What is the release date for Materialists?
Materialists is expected to begin production in May this year. More details about the release date will be revealed once the production begins.
