What is King & Conqueror about?
The period drama series King & Conqueror from CBS Studios will feature Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and James Norton of “Happy Valley” in leading roles. The series, spanning eight episodes, was conceived, written, and produced by Michael Robert Johnson, known for Sherlock Holmes. Baltasar Kormákur, the director of Everest, will direct the first episode and also serve as an executive producer.
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau will take on the role of William, Duke of Normandy, while James Norton will play Harold, Earl of Wessex. These two 11th-century figures, initially allies, would clash at the Battle of Hastings in 1066. Though neither sought the British throne, circumstances and a deep personal rivalry propelled them into a battle for the crown.
What is the release date for King & Conqueror?
The eight-part series King & Conqueror will premiere on BBC iPlayer and BBC One next year, but the exact date remains unknown. Stay tuned for updates!
