New House of the Dragon filming sets pop up in Cáceres, including a mysterious ‘Cock Inn’

Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon season 2 is currently in the production phase. HBO’s fantasy epic is one of the top contenders at this year’s Emmy Awards, eyeing multiple nominations in various categories. Fans are eagerly looking forward to the release of Season 2, which has already begun filming, with several new sets being constructed at key locations.

What is the mysterious ‘Cock Inn’?

Several new filming sets are being constructed in Cáceres and Trujillo for the filming of House of The Dragon Season 2, but the one that caught the attention of the fans is this mysterious tavern with a Rooster sigil. Some are speculating that it is a tavern-cum-brothel for the citizens of King’s Landing, that came into being close to the events of Aegon II’s funeral.

There were more new House of The Dragon sets being constructed as the filming began yesterday. Some of them are being readied for CGI capture.

Quite recently, pictures of a funeral procession were leaked on Twitter with a giant dragon head prop and a coffin containing charred remains. But it turns out, there was another little golden coffin inside a carriage, and several pieces of evidence indicate that it belongs to the young prince Jaehaerys Targaryen.
