Matt Smith doesn’t like Criston Cole
The House of the Dragon cast took a Buzzfeed Celebs quiz to reveal which characters they truly identify with, and the results were surprising! Here’s who got which character: –
Tom Glynn-Carney (Aegon) got Rhaenyra, while Phia Saban (Helaena) got Daemon. Emma D’Arcy (Rhaenyra) got Daemon (a bit of an identity crisis there!), while Ewan Mitchell (Aemond) earned Rhaenys. Bethany Antonia (Baela) settled for Daemon, so did Harry Collett, who plays Jacaerys (okay, we get it, Daemon is a popular choice!).
Eve Best (Rhaenys) got herself. Steve Toussaint (who plays Corlys) got Rhaenyra. Fabien Frankel (Criston) got Criston. Olivia Cooke (who plays Alicent) got Rhaenyra. And Matt Smith(Daemon) got himself. It seems that Matt Smith, the actor who plays Daemon Targaryen, responded with a bit of humor and sarcasm when he saw the results of the quiz. When he found out that several of his cast members thought they were Daemon, he jokingly said, “That’s an absolute insult! How could you come out with that? I’m the only one who can be Daemon!”

Ewan Mitchell is the most like Rhaenys. How?
Ewan Mitchell, who brings Aemond to life on screen, surprisingly identified with Rhaenys, the fierce and cunning lady. When asked why, he revealed that he admires Rhaenys’ unapologetic nature and her willingness to speak truth to power. She’s a true survivor and a master strategist. Ewan thinks they both share a bit of that fiery spirit and determination to succeed, no matter the obstacles.
It seems that Ewan sees a bit of himself in Rhaenys’ confident and ambitious personality, even though they may seem like vastly different characters on the surface. This just goes to show that the cast members have a deep understanding of the characters and their motivations.
