Liam Cunningham prepares for an alien invasion in 3 Body Problem trailer

After Game of Thrones concluded four years ago, several of the cast and crew, including showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, went on to pursue new projects. Currently working on an adaptation of The Three-Body Problem, a science fiction fantasy Netflix series starring two actors who previously appeared on Game of Thrones. Another trailer for the upcoming sci-fi series was recently released.

The new trailer for David Benioff and D. B. Weiss’s the 3 Body Problem puts the spotlight on Liam Cunnigham (Davos Seaworth from Game of Thrones), who must ready Earth’s defenses against an unknown entity. The previous trailer had his co-star John Bradley (Samwell Tarly) explore the reaches of an unknown space.

What is the 3 Body Problem about?

Netflix, in collaboration with Alexander Woo and the showrunners of Game of Thrones, David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, is adapting the book “Three-Body Problem” by Liu Cixin. The series will cover the trilogy “Death’s End,” “The Dark Forest,” and “The Three-Body Problem.” The story’s main concept is the first human meeting with aliens. Netflix and the Yoozoo organization have reached a deal to translate the trilogy into English.

When does Netflix’s 3 Body Problem come out?

The first eight episodes of Netflix’s 3 Body Problem will premiere on March 21, 2024.
