Game of Thrones boasts a great variety of complex and interesting characters. Even though most of them had some shades of gray, very few remained absolute favorites till the end of the series. Liam Cunningham‘s Ser Davos Seaworth is one of them. While doing a promotional tour for his new Netflix show 3 Body Problem, he compared his characters from both the shows along with his co-star, John Bradley (Samwell).

Ser Davos Seaworth is among the noblest characters in Game of Thrones. However, he did rise up from Flea Bottom, and has learned quite a few profanities. In a recent chat with his co-star Bradley, he is asked how similar is his character on 3 Body Problem to Davos. To which he replies that he is much more confident than Davos. Bradley then quips, “He swears a lot more than Davos’ part.”

How did Game of Thrones showrunners convince Liam Cunningham to join 3 Body Problem?

Bradley and Cunningham go on to reminisce about how they got the call for 3 Body Problem. Bradley simply gushed about how flattered he was for getting the part. However, Cunningham had a peculiar experience. He was initially going to sign up for another big project, but David and Dan insisted that he joins them, saying: “That thing you’re talking about, you’re not doing that. You’re coming with us.”
