Some actors are known to be certified markers for the success of a show. They know how to make any job fun. Their presence simply lights up the mood and you feel like the movie, show, or interview just keeps going on. Pedro Pascal is an example of such an actor, who has become a fan favorite in every franchise he is in, from Game of Thrones to Star Wars to The Last of Us. And it seems like another door has just opened up for him.

Jack Black wants Pedro Pascal to join the Mario series

In a recent interview with Gamespot, Black talked about the return of Bowser in future Mario movies. He said, “You know, I did a few Kung Fu Panda movies, and it was a different villain every movie. They may do the same thing.”

“You know, what if there is a more powerful, more evil villain? Then I may need to be turned to help Mario and the rest to defend our universe against some other unseen force of evil. Are you thinking what I’m thinking? Wario. Pedro Pascal is Wario.”

Pedro Pascal has already played Mario in an SNL skit

Jack Black might have taken inspiration from a recent SNL sketch where Pascal played HBO’s version of Mario in a deadly race of Mario Kart. Fans fell in love with his version of Mario, and wanted him to replace Chris Pratt in the Super Mario Bros movie.
