House of the Dragon Season 2 wraps up filming in Wales

The production of the Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon is moving quite swiftly as evident from regular set leaks. The series benefitted greatly from being one of the very few shows not being affected by the writer’s strike. House of the Dragon just completed another major phase of its filming, as it wrapped up shooting several major scenes yesterday in Wales.
House of the Dragon finished filming in Wales
House of the Dragon Season 2 filming in Wales is finally complete. This concludes the season’s on-location filming. Filming will continue at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in London until the end of Season 2 in September and October of this year. Rewrites and reshoots, if required, will not be finished until the WGA strike is over.
Emma D’Arcy visits Dinorwic Quarry
Quite recently, D’Arcy who plays Rhaenyra Targaryen paid a visit to the Dinorwic Quarry in Wales. However, it is not clear whether she filmed any scenes or not, as the site was used as a stand-in for a major battle scene, and Rhaenyra herself doesn’t get involved in any battles in the Fire & Blood lore.
