Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon season 1 finished its run last month and received an overwhelmingly positive response from viewers and critics. Some have even labeled it as being better than the first season of Game of Thrones. The making of the first season took a lot of hard work, planning, patience, coordination between various departments, and a big budget. The series has already been renewed for a second season, and production will begin in Spain starting very soon in 2023.

House of The Dragon smashed viewership numbers and television ratings over a number of platforms, becoming the most-watched show on HBO and also the most pirated show in the world. In a new report published by TV Time, House of The Dragon was among the top 5 most watched TV shows of 2022.

According to TV Time’s list, the following were the most followed shows via the app:

  1. One Piece (Fuji TV)
  2. Stranger Things (Netflix)
  3. Grey’s Anatomy (ABC)
  4. The Office (NBC)
  5. House of The Dragon (HBO)
  6. The Walking Dead (AMC)

It is interesting to note that House of The Dragon is the only new show on the list, as well as its closest competitor Amazon’s Rings of Power, is nowhere on the list.
