House of the Dragon concept artist Constantine Sekeris secures a win at the Concept Art Awards 2023

The first season of House of the Dragon masterfully captured all the things we have come to love about the Game of Thrones television series. Without a doubt, the show’s key components—violence, deceit, and the feelings of love, passion, desire, desolation, and fear—shone through. The amazing scenes and props in the show originated from concept panels that were recognized at the 2023 Concept Arts Awards.

Creature designer & concept artist Constantine Sekeris, who has designed a lot of panels for the Game of Thrones prequel, was honored at the 2023 Concept Art Awards held in the Pasadena Civic Auditorium during LightBox Expo. Sekeris thanked Jany Temime, Costume Designer of the show, and all his supporters in a heartfelt Instagram post.

The Concept Arts Awards 2023: What is it?

The Concept Art Awards honor excellence in keyframe, color keys, visual development, monster, vehicle/prop, character, and environment each year. The judges are professionals in the field. As part of LightBox Expo, the Pasadena Civic Auditorium hosted the 2023 Concept Art Awards on Saturday, October 28. Along with recognizing student, professional, and independent work, the event also presents lifetime achievement awards, an LBX Luminary, a Rising Star, and a Community Icon.
