Game of Thrones’ Lena Headey’s sci-fi thriller Beacon 23 gets cancelled
Disappointing news for fans of Lena Headey.
Lena Headey‘s iconic portrayal of Cersei Lannister has left an indelible mark on the world of Westeros. As a member of the wealthy and influential House Lannister, Cersei’s journey begins in George R.R. Martin’s novel A Song of Ice and Fire Novel series. But it’s not just her aristocratic upbringing that makes her so compelling; it’s the masterful way her character is woven throughout the series. As the story unfolds, Cersei’s depth and intrigue are expertly revealed, cementing her role as an important player in the battle for the Iron Throne.

Beacon 23 is a sci-fi thriller series that boasts a talented cast, including Lena Headey and Stephan James, alongside Barbara Hershey, Stephen Root, Natasha Mumba, and Jess Salgueiro. Created for TV by Zak Penn, the series premiered with Penn serving as showrunner for the first season. However, due to scheduling conflicts, Penn was replaced by Glen Mazzara and Joy Blake, who were supposed to take the reins to complete the series with Season 2.
