There have been several reports about governments turning a blind eye to the ongoing issue, and it has irked a number of citizens who gathered in The Hague, Netherlands, yesterday to protest. Game of Thrones actress Carice van Houten was also among them.

What happened at the Extinction Rebellion protest in The Hague?
More than 1,500 people were arrested during the protest, including Carice van Houten, who played Melisandre the Red Priestess on Game of Thrones. The actress was a member of a group of environmentalists who blocked a road to hold a protest march. She posted a clip of the peaceful protest in The Hague and was one of those who got hit with a shower of water canon by the police.
