Although Game of Thrones has been off-air for quite some time, the fever of Ice and Fire continues to enthrall fans all over the world. More so because our beloved Westeros will undoubtedly return in several guises, mostly in the form of several spinoffs, stemming from George R.R. Martin’s beloved novels. The Game of Thrones Studio Tour is another such attraction that brings you back to Westeros.

Game of Thrones Studio Tour might become Europe’s Leading Tourist Attraction

The official Game of Thrones Studio Tour, which recently celebrated its 1st anniversary, has been nominated as Europe’s Leading Tourist Attraction in the 2023 World Travel Awards. Sherryl Murphy, Marketing Manager at Game of Thrones Studio Tour told NIWorld, “It’s fantastic to be nominated for a World Travel Award and one that is determined by the public’s vote. We have had a great start to 2023 and we enjoy extremely positive feedback from visitors from all over the world.”

“It’s a quick and simple process to vote for Game of Thrones Studio Tour so we hope people who have already experienced this epic tour, or are fans of the show, will vote for Ireland’s largest indoor visitor attraction.”

What does the Game of Thrones Studio Tour showcase?

One of the important locations recreated in the attraction is Dragonstone, a castle located on an island off the east coast of Westeros. A large and complex map has been used to recreate the Chamber of the Painted Table. The new attraction, which is based on the Great Hall at Winterfell’s actual film set, will allow visitors to stroll through it.

The original set for the Great Hall at Winterfell, where the nobility and heroes congregate, serves as the focal point of the Game of Thrones Studio Tour. You can meet characters like Jon Snow and examine the enormous skulls of extinct dragons that are buried in the Red Keep at King’s Landing up close in the crypt of Winterfell.
