Emilia Clarke shares new details about her character in Marvel’s Secret Invasion
Game of Thrones adorned the crown of the best TV show of the 21st century, and the crown was star-studded with some of the best talents across the planet. Emilia Clarke, who played Daenerys Targaryen, is definitely one of them. Clarke has worked in some of the most famous franchises in the world, from Game of Thrones to Terminator to Star Wars, and will be joining the MCU very soon. She recently opened up about her role in Marvel’s Secret Invasion.
Who is Emilia Clarke’s G’iah?
G’iah is the daughter of the skrull Talos. Speaking with Vanity Fair, Clarke explained, “It’s hardened her for sure. There’s a kind of punk feeling that you get from this girl. She’s a refugee kid who’s had Talos for a dad, you know what I mean?”
“Maybe the fact that we didn’t know he had a kid up until this point tells you everything you need to know about their relationship. These people promised a lot of stuff a long time ago, and not a lot has happened. So understandably, a certain amount of resentment has been built. There’s a lot of emotions that live within her, and there’s a lot of confrontational aspects to her character that have come from circumstance. You understand why she has the feelings that she does.”
Who is in the cast of MCU’s Secret Invasion?
A number of MCU veterans will be returning in the new Marvel series, along with several newcomers, including Emilia Clarke, who plays G’iah, Talos’ daughter. G’iah was last seen as a child in the MCU film Captain Marvel (2019).
MCU alums who will be seen in Secret Invasion: Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Ben Mendelsohn as Talos, Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill, Don Cheadle as James “Rhodey” Rhodes, and Martin Freeman as Everett K. Ross.
