Early House of The Dragon concept art shows Vhagar with horns
Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon is already making jaws drop with its amazing themes, an immersive storyline, blood and gore, and breathtaking graphics. Fans are the most excited about the variety of dragons they will get to see in House of The Dragon. We have already seen a number of dragons so far, Daemon Targaryen’s Caraxes, Rhaenyra’s Syrax, Laenor Velaryon’s Seasmoke, and Rhaenys Targaryen’s Meleys. However, there is one dragon the fans were impatiently waiting for, the last surviving member of the trio that conquered Westeros with Aegon I. And she made a grand entrance in episode 6.
Vhagar is a really old dragon, easily over a hundred years old, and the effects of aging can be seen in her appearance. She is huge, with droopy skin and eroded horns. A lot of fans have wondered if it was the right decision to show Vhagar without horns, as all the others from Syrax to Caraxes possess them. An artist by the name of Constantine Sekeris recently rendered a realistic depiction of Vhagar which shows how she would have looked with horns.
Vhagar is going to be a driving factor in the civil war to come in Season 2 of House of The Dragon. Do you think the old granny of the dragons looks better with her horns on her head? Talk to us in the comments below!
