Emilia Clarke relives her ‘Khaleesi’ days at Sundance 2023
Game of Thrones boasted a host of highly talented actors, and Emilia Clarke is surely one of them. The 35-year-old star, famous for playing Mother of Dragons Daenerys Targaryen, is soon to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in the upcoming series Secret Invasion, where she is rumoured to play the role of Abigail Brand. Clarke loved her character Daenerys, and even to this day, she cherishes the moments she spent on the Game of Thrones set.
Clarke was last seen at Sundance Film Festival 2023, promoting her new film Pod Generation. Once again, she plays the role of a mother giving birth to a child in a rather unconventional way, using the latest tech and science. However, when she spotted a bit of a fire burning at a little podium close to the venue, it brought her back to her Game of Thrones days.
She posted a picture on her Instagram and wrote: “Oh thank you @sundanceorg for making me feel like a Khaleesi all over again! (Complete with fire that I learnt I can’t walk through). What a snowy wonderland of people I love and admire with films that bring the HEAT!”
Her Game of Thrones husband Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo) reacted with heart eyes to her post, and the pair also shared a light moment with each other at the film festival.
