Interview
After Game of Thrones and MCU, Sophie Turner wants to work on something “crazy, unlike anything she’s ever done before”
Game of Thrones ended nearly three years ago. The cast and crew of the show have moved on to newer ventures. Most have started working on new filming projects, a few have taken some time off to spend more time with their families. Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner, who played Sansa Stark on the show, did both. While she is pregnant for the second time, she is already eyeing her future projects, and what kind of work now attracts her.
In a recent interview with Elle, Turner talked about the type of projects she is looking forward to, now having worked in big franchises such as Game of Thrones and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She said, “I’ve done the big franchises. So now, because I don’t have all the time in the world, if I want to commit to something on TV, it would have to be special.”
“I want to move forward with the weirder things. To go, “That was crazy, and unlike anything I’ve ever done before.” That’s what excites me about the film industry, especially with places like A24 [the production company behind The Tragedy of Macbeth and Lady Bird]. That’s the kind of world I want to live in. But I’m still figuring myself out as an actor.”
