Rhaenyra meets Addam
Rhaenyra meets her first Dragonseed, Addam of Hull, riding Seasmoke. Addam immediately bends the knee and enters Rhaenyra’s service. Seasmoke was the dragon of Laenor Velaryon, Rhaenyra’s first husband. After a brief confrontation, Rhaenyra accepts Addam into her service.
Other members of the Black Council have different reactions. Jacaerys is displeased and furious. Lord Corlys is pleased with Addam and commends him. However, Corlys mentions that Velaryons did not have the blood of dragonlords, so Addam’s mother may have had a Targaryen ancestor.

Daemon executes Wilem Blackwood
Daemon’s arc ending in Harrenhal will be a relief to many. With the death of old lord Grover Tully, his grandson Oscar is now the lord of Riverrun and the lord paramount of the Riverlands. Lord Oscar knows that the loyalty of the Riverlords will come at a cost. He mentions that oaths hold together the Riverlands.
He pledges his allegiance to Rhaenyra and the Blacks due to the oath sworn to King Viserys. However, he cannot let Lord Wilem Blackwood’s actions go unpunished. Though the Blackwoods did what Daemon asked, they brutally ravaged Bracken lands due to their feud with them. In doing so, they broke their oath. Hugh claims Vermithor
Early on, when Rhaenyra calls for Targaryen bastards, we find out that Hugh Hammer is a Targaryen on his mother’s side. His mother appears to be a Targaryen princess who worked in a pleasure house. She claimed to be the sister of Daemon and Viserys. The person who matches this description is Saera Targaryen, who ran away from Westeros to work in a pleasure house in Lys.
When Hugh participates in the sowing, Vermithor immediately goes on a rampage, burning everyone. Hugh is caught in the clamor and confusion until he encounters a scared woman whom Vermithor is about to kill. At this point, Hugh calls Vermithor’s attention towards him and yells in the dragon’s face. He shouts that he is ready, perhaps for his death. Instead, Vermithor is calmed, and Hugh claims him.

Ulf claims Silverwing
Ulf White claimed to be the bastard son of Baelon the Brave and, hence, a half-brother to Daemon and Viserys. Against his will, his companions and drinking buddies force him to attend to Rhaenyra’s call. When Vermithor goes wild, Ulf is caught in the confusion. He manages to escape and stumbles across the Dragonmont, stepping into a pile of incubating dragon eggs.
Here, he encounters Silverwing, likely the mother of the eggs. Rather than killing him, Silverwing sniffs him and seems to recognize the Targaryen blood in him. Ulf bonds with the dragon and rides her to King’s Landing. Aemond notices them and gives chase in Vhagar. But when they reach Dragonstone, he turns around, as Rhaenyra now has six dragons, whereas the Greens only have Vhagar in the field.
