Why did House of the Dragon change actors?
House of the Dragon and its world, characters, and complex relationship dynamics are set in the same universe as the Game of Thrones. But, even then the makers didn’t cast any of the previous actors from GoT, why is it?
Quick answer: This one is a completely new series that doesn’t have any recurring characters from the previous show. And, since it is not a sequel or spinoff, it does make sense to rope in a fresh cast for House of the Dragon. The same actors playing different characters in the same franchise would have created confusion in the minds of the audience.
