With a long list of honors and tributes, Game of Thrones proved to be one of the biggest TV series of the twenty-first century. The show put several previously unknown artists on the Hollywood map, including showrunners David Benioff and D. B. Weiss. The duo is preparing for the launch of their new Netflix series, and hopes to repeat their blockbusting run they once had on HBO.

The Game of Thrones creators have been under a lot of scrutiny after the Season 8 finale. Netflix’s 3 Body Problem is their first show after the debacle, but they are aiming big. In a recent chat with THR, David Benioff said, “It’s great we won a bunch of awards, but that was a while ago. You have to keep proving yourself.”

However, they are aware of the pressure on their shoulders. Weiss reflected, “It would be hard for us to feel more pressure than we already do.”

Peter Dinklage quoted Game of Thrones finale line at Emmy 2023

Though the final season of Game of Thrones is hated by a large section of fans, it did have a number of memorable scenes. One of them is Peter Dinklage’s Tyrion justifying Bran’s appointment as the new King. He did something similar while announcing the Best Drama nominees. Dinklage said,

“There’s nothing in the world more powerful than a good story. Nothing can stop it. No enemy can defeat it. And who has a better story than these eight nominees?”
