Jason Momoa is unsure about Aquaman’s future in the DCU

The greatest TV program of the twenty-first century was none other than Game of Thrones, which had a star-studded cast of some of the world’s greatest actors. Jason Momoa, the actor who portrayed Khal Drogo, is undoubtedly among them. Even as the superhero Aquaman, he has achieved enormous success, yet he has remained loyal to his origins. The DC headquarters has gone through a major change, and a number of old storylines have been completely scrapped.

Jason Momoa’s future in the DCU is uncertain

After the former DCEU was revamped with James Gunn’s DCU, a number of previous characters were recast. Momoa is soon to appear in the sequel to his highly acclaimed Aquaman movie, and in a recent chat with ET Online, he said, “I don’t necessarily want it to be the end… [but] I don’t think it’s really, like, a choice. The truth of it is, I mean, if the audience loves it, then there’s a possibility. But right now, I’m like, ‘It’s not looking too good.”

Jason Momoa initially thought he would be a part of DCU

In an earlier interview, Momoa seemed pretty sure of his role in James Gunn’s DCU. He said,

“[I’m feeling] really f**king good. Aquaman’s not going anywhere so it’s alright. Everything’s gonna be good, we’re still here and then I might be dipping into some other things too.”

However, that isn’t the case anymore, as he recently stated, “I love this character and [I would want to] play it for a long time. If there’s a place in their world for me, I would love to be a part of it. This is my home. Warner and DC is definitely my home. So, that’s all I’ll say.”
