House of the Dragon’s Emma D’Arcy and Matt Smith nominated for Hollywood Critics Award

As the award season gets closer, the House of the Dragon fandom is well-fed with all the nominations that the much-deserving series has received. The Game of Thrones prequel did not only win in the Best Drama category, but its lead actress Emma D’Arcy also got nominated in the Best Actress category. The show’s stars D’Arcy and Matt Smith have once again been nominated for another reputed award.
Emma D’Arcy and Matt Smith nominated for Hollywood Critics Award
Emma D’Arcy and Matt Smith, who play Queen Rhaenyra Targaryen and Prince Daemon Targaryen in House of the Dragon have each earned a nomination for the prestigious Hollywood Critics Award. While D’Arcy has been nominated in Best Actress in a Broadcast Network or Cable Drama Series category along with 8 other competitors, Smith has been nominated in the Best Supporting Actor in a Broadcast Network or Cable Drama Series along with 10 others.
HBO shows ruling the award circuit
A number of other noteworthy HBO shows have also been nominated in various categories for the Hollywood Critics Award, such as Succession, The White Lotus, and The Last of Us. These two shows, along with House of the Dragon, are some of the favorites in other Award nominations as well, including the Emmys.
