What is House of the Dragon’s codename? Notice to North Wales residents reveals
House of The Dragon, the Game of Thrones prequel, had an amazing first season, with some even saying it was better than the first season of the original show. Fans and critics have applauded the costumes, landscapes, sets, storyline, and videography, and we will see more new locations as the production has recently added North Wales as the next site.
HBO notifies residents in North Wales ahead of filming
HBO is known for its secrecy when it comes to films and TV shows under its banner, and House of The Dragon is no exception. When notifying the people living near the Trefor Granite Quarry, HBO was exceptionally careful not to reveal the name of the show that is to be filmed at the site, using the code name ‘Red Gun’, on the leaflets distributed to the locals.
Where will House of The Dragon film in North Wales?
The House of The Dragon crew will be filming at multiple locations in North Wales, including Trefor Quarry (Gwynedd) and Snowdonia National Park, from June 12th to July 7th, according to several reports previously covered. The HBO crew is already in these places building sets, and scenes with children around the age of little Aegon and Viserys will be filmed with lots of music.
