House of The Dragon Season 2 to continue filming in North Wales in June

Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon had an impressive first season; some were of the opinion it was better than the first season of the original show. Fans and critics have praised the costumes, the scenery, the sets, the storyline, and the filmography, and we will get to see more new sceneries as a new filming location has just been added.

House of The Dragon will move to North Wales after Spain for production

According to the fan account House the Dragons that has repeatedly provided reliable information, the House of The Dragon crew will be filming at several locations in North Wales such as Trefor Quarry (Gwynedd) and Snowdonia National Park between June 12th to July 7th. The HBO team is already at these locations constructing sets, and scenes involving children around the age of young Aegon and Viserys with lots of music will be filmed.

Filming for House of The Dragon Season 2 will take place in May in Cáceres and Trujillo

The city council of both the Spanish cities is already flowing Targaryen flags to welcome the cast and crew of House of The Dragon. According to the Twitter account House the Dragons, filming in Cáceres and Trujillo will start on May 18th and should last about a week. Local newspapers have also reported that HBO has already booked 100 hotel rooms for the team.

When will House of The Dragon return?

The filming of House of The Dragon season 2 has just begun production, with the casting process almost complete and the sets being constructed at key locations. HBO chief Casey Bloys has confirmed in an indirect way that House of The Dragon won’t be coming back before the summer of 2024.
