Lena Headey felt relieved when Game of Thrones craze died down

Game of Thrones star Lena Headey is an amazing performer. When she played Cersei Lannister on the show, her evil queen persona was so powerful, that some fans began to despise her in real life. Nonetheless, true fans know and love her for the same, for her phenomenal acting. Headey was actually very relieved when the Game of Thrones hype slowly mellowed down.
Lena Headey says Game of Thrones hype was ‘weird’
In an exclusive interview with Newsweek, Headey admitted, “Yes, it’s died down, thank God, because it was weird. And, not in any s***** way. You kind of go, ‘OK, that was amazing and unexpected,’ and then you’re like, ‘What’s next?'”
Lena Headey is glad to be a part of Game of Thrones
On being asked if she minds being asked about the topic still, Headey replied, “No, it’s not annoying. It’s the territory. Right? Listen, it was an amazing thing to be part of. So I’m very happy it happened, obviously.”
What is Lena Headey doing now?
Lena Headey will star as Dorothy Hunt, the wife of E. Howard Hunt, a mother of four and an active CIA asset in the upcoming HBO drama The White House Plumbers. Dorothy tries to hold her family together while entangling herself in her husband’s catastrophic misadventures. The series is scheduled to premiere on HBO and HBO Max on May 1, 2023.
