You can watch the teaser trailer here:
The teaser has given a few glimpses of new footage from the upcoming show. It begins with the familiar Game of Thrones opening credits music by Ramin Djawadi. There is a shot of a dragon who looks old and has damaged wings, which could possibly be Vhagar. A very brief view of Velaryon vessels, possibly the Sea Snake’s fleet, can also be seen. We also see what appear to be the younger dragons Meleys and Seasmoke flying alongside the ships. A shot of Caraxes at the Battle of the Stepstones is seen as he breathes fire onto an unfortunate victim, with Daemon on his back in full battle gear.
There is more footage of the main characters, with shots of Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke) closely followed by Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy) right at the start, hinting at the rivalry which will be explored in the show. There is a quick shot of Dornish archers lining up to fire at something off-screen, which will likely be occurring during the War of the Stepstones. There are also very quick shots of tourneys as well as naval and land-based battles shown. The teaser ends with a quote from Ser Otto Hightower where he says to King Viserys, “The gods have yet to make a man who lacks the patience for absolute power, your grace.”
