Game of Thrones prequel House of The Dragon is one of HBO’s most ambitious projects yet. The show will be covering the events from the time when Targaryens were flourishing in Westeros, and so were their dragons, about 200 years ago from the period of Game of Thrones. In an earlier discussion with House of The Dragon showrunner Ryan J. Condal and David Mendel on their podcast, The Stuff Dreams are Made of, Game of Thrones creator George R. R. Martin confirmed the existence of 17 dragons on the show, in the first season alone, far more than what we had on Game of Thrones.

Game of Thrones fans are the most excited about the variety of dragons they will get to see in House of The Dragon. Reddit user Zyppey compiled the list of all of these dragons and arranged them in descending order of their size in a neat chart.

The list begins with a comparison between Vhagar, the largest dragon in Westeros at the time of House of The Dragon, and Drogon from Season 8 of Game of Thrones. Though Vhagar has been depicted significantly larger, some fans in the comments section argued Vhagar should be even larger, almost as big as Balerion, the Black Dread.

Which of these dragons are you the most excited to see in House of The Dragon? Tell us in the comments below!
