More footage of Game of Thrones Season 8 filming at Winterfell set

Game of Thrones Season 8 filming has shifted into the top gear this week. We recently reported about the exciting night time shoots that had been happening at the Winterfell set at Moneyglass, and now we have some daytime footage of the same, thanks to a fan. Read on!

So, like we had recently reported, Winterfell seems to be at siege, from what we can make out from the nighttime footage. We had extras chanting in unison, and a probable battering ram being used. Now we have some daytime footage, thanks to Game of Thrones fan Marie McClenaghan. Check out the post, below :

We did see a similar ruckus in the nighttime footage, but the first video in this post makes it clearer. There are bright lights and smoke, and things are looking fiery, like they did in the nighttime footage. Since they’re shooting the fiery scenes night and day both, we expect an overnight siege, which means something big is going to happen at Winterfell!

It could be the White Walkers, who have reached the walls of Winterfell, but it’s more likely that it’s Cersei’s men doing the battering and chanting, so we think it could be Cersei’s attempt at taking Winterfell, her likely course of action post that false promise to Jon, Daenerys and Tyrion about helping them with their war against the Army of the Dead.
