Game of Thrones “very, very close” to finishing filming, says Liam Cunningham

Game of Thrones Season 8 is currently filming, and it’s very close to finishing it. We have been seeing stars confirm their filming is over, one by one, and just yesterday, Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen, one of the biggest characters on the show, bid a heartfelt goodbye to the show. In a recent interview, Liam Cunningham, who plays the role of Ser Davos Seaworth, revealed that the show is “very, very close” to finishing filming. Read on!
In a recent video bit with Independent, he revealed that the show is nearly done filming. He was present at “Taste of Dublin,” where he said:
“At this time, we’re very, very close to finishing the entire thing, but you’re not gonna see it until next year sometime, and I don’t even think they have a release date yet cause they don’t have to. But I’m very close to getting rid of the beard. Thank God.”
Well, we definitely love his bearded look, but we understand him wanting to get rid of it. However, we haven’t spotted him clean shaven yet, and that means he’s still filming, which hopefully means Davos lives till the end. Speaking of life and career after Game of Thrones, he said:
“I’m gonna, what’s known in the trade as decompress, so I’m gonna do nothing for the summer, and then I’m gonna start panicking that I’ll never work again, and we’ll see what happens.”
Well, now all we have to do is wait for Liam to be spotted without a beard, and we can then finally accept that the show we all love has wrapped up filming, for good. What do you guys think about this? Excited or scared about Game of Thrones Season 8 already? Got any theories for Ser Davos? Talk to us in the comments, down below!
