The Simpsons premiered season 29 with a Game of Thrones themed episode, guest starring Nikolaj Coster-Waldau!
Game of Thrones is one of the most popular shows on the planet and as such it often finds itself being a subject of references in many, many other TV shows. Season 7 ended a few weeks ago, and Season 8 is scheduled to begin filming in October. In the meantime, we are spending our time watching other shows, and one of the longest running shows right now, The Simpsons, recently premiered its 29th Season. So what was so special about this one? The whole episode was a spoof of Game of Thrones! Read on!
Titled ‘The Serfsons’, the premiere showed Marge’s mother is turn into an “Ice Walker”. Homer then has to make Lisa to use illegal magic. The King comes to know of this and kidnaps Lisa and Homer has to start a revolution to save her. Sounds like a made up episode of Game of Thrones. Watch some of the bits from the episode, below :

..and if all of that wasn’t enough, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays Jaime Lannister on Game of Thrones, voiced the character of Marge’s twin brother in the episode, mirroring his Game of Thrones role :
