Emilia Clarke, Kit Harington, Peter Dinklage and others chill at Belfast pub
The stars and crew of Game of Thrones is hard at work filming Game of Thrones Season 8. Work is undergoing on multiple sets, and in the midst of all of it, they need a break. What better place to take one than an Irish pub? That’s exactly what some of the stars and the showrunners did this week. Read on!
Now, as you might already know, Belfast, Northern Ireland is one of the most prominent locations for filming Game of Thrones, and it has multiple sets. The cast has been back in Belfast of late, and just this week, Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss, and stars Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen), Jacob Anderson (Grey Worm), and Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister), and more, chilled out at a pub named Kelly’s Cellars. Check out the picture, below:
As you may have noticed, Winter Is Coming. Or Coming Back. Or whatever. But whatever it is, it was a pleasure to welcome some of the cast of Game of Thrones yesterday evening. Because that’s what they do.

There’s of course a couple of more people, but we can’t seem to see their faces. We’re guessing the one lying down on the couch is Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), but no guesses on the other person.
Now, as Winter is Coming pointed out, Kelly’s Cellars is quite close to all the active sets around. The Winterfell set in Moneyglass is 30 minutes to the northwest, Magheramorne Quarry, which has the new set with the giant green screen is 30 minutes to the north, Linen Mill Studios is located 40 minutes to the south, and the King’s Landing set at Titanic Studios is at close proximity, making this pub an ideal location for the cast and crew to hang back at.
So what do we understand from this picture? That everybody in it is likely to be alive for a considerable period of the season, and we can hope to see them for at least half of Season 8. Pretty good news, if you ask us. More importantly: why isn’t Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister) here?
