The Army of the Dead spotted at new Game of Thrones set at Magheramorne Quarry
Game of Thrones Season 8 filming at a furious pace these days. After heavy filming at the Winterfell set at Moneyglass, and the King’s Landing set at Titanic Studios, Belfast, the action has moved to the new set, atMagheramorne Quarry, a set which has a giant green screen. We recently reported about some fresh filming on the set, with a lot of extras, and what looked like a couple of lead actors, and now we have another update. Be warned, however, Season 8 spoilers follow, so SPOILER ALERT! Read on!
Alright, so the big draw here is that The Army of the Dead has been spotted at this set now. Thanks to pictures from Oakleaf Photography, again, we have a good look at the current happenings on set, with a crucial picture from the now deleted Twitter account, Hogwort7. First up is a picture showing horse riding extras wearing CGI suits:
Now, the conclusion here is pretty straightforward. CGI suits are mostly used for the White Walkers, since they need makeup, as well as some touching up with CGI. However, it seems like it might be a bit more to this. We have seen White Walkers on the back of a horse, but we have never seen a Wight on it. So we can expect something new in the next season.
Now, the tweet by Oakleaf Photography says that one of the characters on a horse could be Brienne of Tarth. Also included, are Unsullied with their spears, and some fire being blown. Check out the tweet, below:

What are your thoughts? What could be happening here? Surely, with all that commotion it seems like we might see a large chunk of Daenerys’ army falling over to the Wight side. Got any theories? Hit us up in the comments, down below!
