Sitar player’s rendition of Game of Thrones theme song leaves fans in awe

Game of Thrones is renowned for its exceptional scores, attributed to the genius of Ramin Djawadi. Djawadi’s score has served as an inspiration to many artists and fans, and one of them just made a rendition of Game of Thrones theme song on sitar.

You might have heard the Game of Thrones opening intro several times before, and several versions of it. From acapella to rock to musical parodies, there have been several renditions. Renowned sitar player Rishab Rikhiram Sharma recently performed his of the theme at his Sitar for Mental Health concert in New York City earlier year. And it is as mesmerizing as it gets!

When Rishab Rikhiram Sharma jammed out to his own version of the Game of Thrones theme song, the attendees were pleasantly surprised. It is not every day that you hear the show’s cover song using Indian instruments, and social media is all about praise for the talented sitarist.
