Neil Druckmann teases fans about The Last of Us Part III
The Last of Us is one of the most famous video game franchises of all time. Hence when the TV adaptation was announced a few years ago, a lot of fans got really excited, and had high expectations for the series. There have been several speculations that the massive success of the show will push Naughty Dog for The Last of Us Part III video game, while the game’s creator continues to remain coy about it.
Is The Last of Us Part III currently in the making?
The game franchise’s creator and co-showrunner Neil Druckmann did confirm that he was working on a new video game, but did not clarify what project it is. In a recent episode of The Last of Us Spoilercast with Kinda Funny, Druckmann said, “I know not everyone has the privilege but it’s not something I take lightly though at the end of every project we purposefully explore several different projects. Some of them might be a sequel and a bunch of new ideas.”
“I know the fans really want The Last of Us Part III,” he continued. “I hear about it all the time and all I can say is that we’re already into our next project so the decision has already been made, I can’t say what it is but that’s the process we went through. There was a lot of consideration about different things and we picked the thing we are most excited for.”
How many seasons will The Last of Us Part II be stretched into?
In a recent interview with GQ magazine, showrunner Neil Druckmann confirmed Part II will be stretched over multiple seasons. He said, “It’s more than one season.”
Craig Mazin assured it as well, “You have noted correctly that we will not say how many. But more than one is factually correct.”
