Game of Thrones had a long list of lost/underused characters. Fans have often wondered what happened to them, as the books aren’t complete yet. One of them was Michiel Huisman’s Daario Naharis. The handsome lover of Daenerys was last seen in the episode ‘The Winds of Winter’. Daenerys left her brave confidante in Meereen to maintain peace. Even the actor along with the fans waited till the last season for the character to return. Well, we didn’t get to see Daario again, but we can see Huisman return to the silver screen. Michiel Huisman is back with Apple’s action-thriller series Echo 3.

Huisman will join previously announced cast member Luke Evans in the upcoming series. Echo 3 follows Amber Chesborough, a brilliant young scientist, who is the emotional centre of a small American family. When she goes missing along the Colombia-Venezuela border, her brother (Evans) and her husband, Prince (Huisman) — two men with deep military experience and complicated pasts — struggle to find her against the explosive backdrop of a secret war.

Echo 3 will be shot in both English and Spanish and has been given a 10-episode order. It is based on the Keshet Broadcasting series ‘When Heroes Fly’ created by Omri Givon and inspired by the eponymous novel by Amir Gutfreund. Mark Boal created the series and will serve as executive producer and showrunner. The series will be produced by Keshet Studios, with Keshet Studios’ Peter Traugott serving as executive producer.

Game of Thrones boasted a host of highly talented actors on its roster. Veteran actor Sean Bean was one of the big names who starred in the fantasy epic. His character, Ned Stark, was a fan-favourite character in the first season. However, he met the same fate Sean Bean’s roles are notoriously famous for; he couldn’t last for more than one season. Bean and Line of Duty’s Stephen Graham star opposite each other in Time, a prison drama from Cracker writer Jimmy McGovern, coming to BBC One from Sunday, 6 June.

The description of the show provided by BBC says, “Mark Cobden (Sean Bean) is newly imprisoned, consumed by guilt for his crime, and way out of his depth in the volatile world of prison life. He meets Eric McNally (Stephen Graham), an excellent prison officer doing his best to protect those in his charge.”

“However, when one of the most dangerous inmates identifies his weakness, Eric faces an impossible choice; between his principles and his family.”

The three-part drama begins on BBC One on Sunday, 6 June at 9:00pm. Sean is currently starring in the sci-fi thriller Snowpiercer. And he was actually worried he would be killed off on-screen again. Let’s hope he doesn’t get killed off in Time just like most of his on-screen characters.

Working on a project as big as Game of Thrones is a once in a lifetime experience. The fame that comes with being part of something so big exceeds that of the fortune you inherit from the show. People begin to recognize you by your character and remember you by your contribution. Game of Thrones actor DeObia Oparei left an everlasting mark in the minds of the viewers with his performance as Areo Hotah, captain of Prince Doran Martell’s guards. The British actor has joined the cast of the Netflix thriller, The Gray Man.

The film is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo. It is said to be the biggest-budget movie the streamer has made. The upcoming cinema boasts an impressive cast that includes Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jessica Henwick, Wagner Moura, Dhanush, Billy Bob Thornton, Alfre Woodard, Regé-Jean Page, Julia Butters, and Eme Ikwuakor.

Joe Russo wrote the screenplay with Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely. It’s based on the first instalment of the best-selling book series, The Gray Man, first launched in 2009.

The Gray Man is former CIA operative Court Gentry (Gosling), aka, Sierra Six. Plucked from a federal penitentiary and recruited by a former handler, Donald Fitzroy (Thornton). Gentry was once a highly-skilled, Agency-sanctioned merchant of death. But now the tables have turned and Six is the target. Hunted across the globe by Lloyd Hansen (Evans), a former cohort at the CIA. He will stop at nothing to take him out. Agent Dani Miranda (Armas) has his back. He’ll need it.

Game of Thrones boasted a great and varied slew of amazing characters. Each of them had a pivotal role in the telling of the story. Conleth Hill’s Lord Varys had an important role in shaping the direction of the fantastical epic. In the first season of Game of Thrones, he appeared as a guest star and joined the starring cast from the second season. He will now be appearing in ITV’s upcoming adaptation of Graham Norton’s darkly comic, best-selling novel Holding.

The series is set in the insular fictional village of Duneen, Ireland. The four-part series will see the actor bring Sergeant PJ Collins to life. He is a local officer who would much rather spend the day scoffing comfort food and doing half-hearted police work than interacting with others.

His lacklustre routine becomes a thing of the past though when the body of long-lost community legend Tommy Burke is discovered and PJ is tasked with solving a serious crime for the first time in his career. And to do so, he’ll have to try and reconnect with his neighbours after avoiding them all for most of his life.

Gimme Gimme Gimme’s Kathy Burke is on board to direct. Working with a script written by Dominic Treadwell-Collins (EastEnders) and Karen Cogan (The Young Offenders).

I’m looking forward to getting to work with Kathy, the cast and crew, Dominic and everyone at Happy Prince on bringing Graham’s brilliant characters and story to the screen,” Hill said.

Hill also lent his voice for Tourism NI’s audio stories. Are you excited to watch another brilliant performance by Conleth Hill? Tell us in the comments below!
