Lyanna Mormont met her cousin Jorah Mormont and Game Of Thrones fans couldn't contain their excitement
After a week of wait, Game of Thrones Season 8 episode 2 dropped. Titled “A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms,” the episode had a lot of great moments. We saw a new line of reunions/meetings. One of these involved the Queen of sass, Lyanna Mormont and the fans just loved it.
Game of Thrones has mostly focused on the three big houses – Starks, Lannisters, and Targaryens. However, House Mormont has always been in the background. In Season 8 episode 2, we got to see the two major Mormonts meet — Lyanna and Jorah. The brief interaction had Jorah tell Lyanna that she should hide in the crypts rather than fight, and Lyanna holding her own against him. Of course, the fans had an array of reactions to this:

Small gripe with this episode – Lyanna Mormont and Jorah Mormont were in a scene together and there was no interaction whatsoever. Seems like there should have been more to that? #GameOfThrones8

As you can see, many fans think this scene could have been a foreshadowing of what’s coming in the next episode for the Mormonts. What are your thoughts? Talk to us in the comments, down below!
Game of Thrones ended over a year ago, and the fans miss the show terribly. Though there are prequel series in works, the original characters will always hold a special place in everyone’s hearts. One of them being Jon Snow, who is currently trending on Twitter, and fans are baffled as to why.
Jon Snow, played by Kit Harington, is easily one of the most famous and lovable characters on the show Game of Thrones. All was well on Twitter until Netflix caused a stir with the following tweet:
Please don’t ask us why Jon Snow is trending. We know nothing.
— Netflix India (@NetflixIndia) September 16, 2020
The fans were bewildered at the tweet. Everyone was guessing the cause and no one could figure out why. Some even called out Netflix for playing with their emotions! It seems like fans haven’t got enough of Jon Snow yet.

Most of the fans linked it to the recent release of the trailer of Criminals season 2, starring Kit Harington. Kit Harington played Jon Snow for all the 8 seasons of Game of Thrones. Criminals season 2 also stars Kunal Nayyar, Sophie Okonedo and Sharon Horgan. Kit shines in his role as a convicted real estate agent.

While others linked the trend to seasonal change. A pun directed at a famous line from the show. Something that only a Stark would say,
“Winter is coming.”

Even though it seems confusing, fans are surely having fun toying around with ideas. Whatever may the reason be, Jon Snow trending after such a long time reflects the popularity of the character and show.
What are your thoughts about the ruckus? Let us know in the comments below.
Game of Thrones finished its glorious run last year. Not only was it perhaps the most-watched show of all time, but it was also the most closely followed series of all time. Fans were absolutely obsessed with it and you can still find various fan theories still floating around in the aisles of Reddit world. However, when you have such passionate fans it comes with a cost. While the show had set an immensely high standard for itself, all hell broke loose when the fans spotted a Starbucks coffee cup in one episode, followed by two water bottles. Now the same mistake has been repeated and fans aren’t letting this one go as well!
As per the report from Metro, Emma Watson starrer Little Women had its own Game of Thrones moment. Apparently fans spotted a water bottle in one scene in a film set in 1860s. This led to an onslaught yet again from the fans and they were quick to point out the mistake in their own style.
This immediately brought back the memories of a coffee cup incident in one Game of Thrones episodes. The reactions then were so ferocious that the producer Bernie Caulfield had to apologize.
She had then said:
“We’re sorry! Prop people and decorators are so, you know, so on it 1,000 percent. If that’s the worst thing they’re finding, then we’re in good shape.”
Stars too took it in their strides and made jokes on it in their numerous TV appearances. Liam Cunnigham and Sophie Turner had then jokingly blamed Emilia Clarke for the gaffe.
Cunnigham had said:
“These things happen, it’s a big job, people run in, and Emilia (Clarke) probably drinks too much coffee.”
Clarke too had her share of fun and blamed Jason Mamoa for the incident! She had then posted a photo on Instagram and wrote:
“Did I just stumble upon the truth here?! The cup bearer does not drinketh the Starbucks tea… oh and this ain’t a spoiler just a lost wanderer coming home for a mid-filming cuppa.”
Any which way it’s not ideal for any film or show to have such incidents but whether we like it or not, these things happen. Well, at least we get our laughs out of it!
What are your reactions to the latest water bottle sighter? Have you seen the Little Women? Did you spot it as well?

YouTuber Eating Things put out the video, and it has quickly gone viral, getting nearly 2 million views at the time of writing this article. The video shows the funeral speech that Jon Snow gives after the Battle of Winterfell, but deepfaked into an apology for Season 8. Check it out:
The fans have been waiting for such an apology from the showrunners, David Benioff and Dan Weiss, but we don’t think that’s happening anytime soon. For now, this should do.
