Emilia Clarke still insists Game of Thrones is filming multiple endings
Game of Thrones is a big show, and we have seen the leaks come from the show which quite match the size of the show itself. For Season 7, we had about the entire plot leaked months before the season premiered, and when it did premiere, we started getting leaks in the form of entire episodes, before they aired. HBO has been extra careful with Season 8, and we haven’t had any substantial leaks yet. However, what we’ve had is rumours that the production is filming multiple endings to the show to ensure stuff doesn’t get spoiled, and now we have a fresh reminder of the same. Emilia Clarke, who plays the role of Daenerys Targaryen on the show, recently talked about filming multiple endings for Game of Thrones. Read on!
Now, if you don’t know, HBO’s President of Original Programming, Casey Bloys first revealed that the production was filming multiple endings. This was confirmed by Emilia Clarke in an interview shortly thereafter, but Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays Jaime Lannister, had dismissed this on the grounds that there wasn’t enough room for wastefulness in the budget. However in a recent appearance on her press tour on The Hollywood Reporter’s “Awards Chatter”, Emilia Clarke talked about the multiple endings:
“I don’t know that I even [know the ending] now. I’m being serious. I think they’re filming a bunch of stuff and they’re not telling us. I’m being serious. I’m being deadly serious. I think that they don’t even trust us. There’s lots of different endings that could happen; I think we’re doing all of them and we aren’t being told which is actually what’s going to happen.”
This confirms the season 8 filming information that we had shared earlier. Emilia also discussed how she used to be very nervous in her first year on the show, and would carry a copy of the first ASOIAF book like a lucky charm:
“I literally would just wake up and try and survive the day. Like, literally, ‘don’t let them know that they shouldn’t have hired you, cause they shouldn’t have hired you.’”
She also talked about the nudity on the show, and how she felt about doing it playing Daenerys:
“Was it daunting for me, as a 23-year-old, to do it? Yes, 100 percent. Hell, it’s daunting anyway. But I must admit, having done it, I believe people care more for her as a character, because they’ve seen her suffer, so there’s that. But the volume of interest in the fact that I took my clothes off is astonishing to me. Emilia Clarke didn’t go up on stage and go, ‘What up guys? Check out these guys [her breasts]!’ That didn’t happen. I took on a character, and the character had things happen to her.”
Speaking of how it was to have the show end, Emilia said:
“It’s incredibly emotional, this final season that we’re in the middle of right now…I truly get really emotional just even thinking about the end of the show [because] what you’re leaving behind is…everything that has happened to me in my 20s — 10 years of my life was woven within the show. You know, there’s so much that’s happened to all of us, and you’re walking away from all of that…Daenerys is so much a part of who I am, and I am so much a part of who she is, so it’s this incredibly frightening thing to walk away from — but at the same time, unbelievably exciting.”
Well, we’re certainly excited to see how the show ends. What about you? Talk to us in the comments, down below!
Game of Thrones refined the way we view TV shows. One of the many reasons why the show reached great heights was its character development. When it comes to that category, no character has gone through greater change than the Kingslayer Jaime Lannister.
Played by Danish actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Jaime started out as a villain. He was responsible for crippling Brandon Stark after he accidentally discovered his incestuous relationship with his sister, Cersei. Jaime was the one who captured Ned Stark leading him to his execution at King’s Landing.
The author of the Game of Thrones books George R.R. Martin originally had different plans for Jaime Lannister. Fans got a glimpse of a 3-page reveal when Harper Collins, publisher of A Song of Ice and Fire, accidentally leaked it on Twitter. The tweet was later removed.
According to the script, Jaime Lannister was supposed to be one of the main antagonists. He was originally written to be a cruel-sadistic villain, who desired power over everything else. His lust for control over the realms even led him to sit on the Iron Throne for a while. The showrunners changed the script for the show.
The Kingslayer goes through a change of heart throughout the TV series. He protected Brienne of Tarth’s honor and saved her from the attack of a bear. The two eventually got close and shared a mutual respect. Jaime joined forces with the Starks and Daenerys to fight off the White Walkers.
His character was shown to be regretful of his past actions. He died trying to protect his sister when Daenerys attacked King’s Landing. He could never let go of his love for Cersei, which led to his downfall. To think that could have ended another way!

Ever since its announcement, fans all around the world are going crazy over the rumors of casting for the Game of Thrones’ prequel House of the Dragon. Fans have been debating about the best choice for The Rogue Prince, Daemon Targaryen, over the last few weeks.
The House of the Dragon series is based on George R. R. Martin’s book Fire & Blood. The book covers the first 150 years of House Targaryen’s rule in Westeros. The show will be allegedly centered around The Dance of the Dragons, a civil war that happened about 170 years before the events of Game of Thrones.
The casting call for Daemon was recently published. It said that HBO seeks an actor between the ages of 40 and 50 years old. It solidifies the theory because Daemon was middle-aged when the civil war began.
The character description for Daemon is as follows:
“The younger brother to King Viserys, Daemon wasn’t born with ‘naked ambition’ for the throne despite being in line for it. He’s less methodical and more impetuous. Not to mention easily bored… stumbling from one distraction to the next with the subconscious yet singular obsession with earning the love and acceptance of his brother the king. Most of Daemon’s joy is found at sword-point. But even as the most experienced warrior of his time, he vacillates between vile and heroic, making him the true rogue of the series.”
Full offense, Patrick Wilson could play Daemon Targaryen and I’d be DELIGHTED. https://t.co/bN5gAnyWfC

Last week the world was deprived of another jewel that once shined bright over the big screen. The entertainment industry is mourning the loss of multi-talented actress, Diana Rigg. She passed away at her home on Thursday at the age of 82.

Diana was a dazzling actress and a compassionate and kind human being. Her presence was comforting and inspiring for her co-stars, so was the beauty with which she executed her roles. Other than Game of Thrones, she starred in the 1960’s The Avengers, the Bond movie On Her Majesty’s Secret Service and many more.
We as fans pray that her soul rests in peace. Please feel free to share your feelings with us in the comments below.
