Latest House of the Dragon Episode 5 photos reveal the new Hand of the King
A lot happened in the last episode of the critically acclaimed show, House of the Dragon. One of the wisest, albeit late, decisions King Viserys I took was stripping Ser Otto Hightower of the title of Hand of the King. New photos from the upcoming episode are out, hinting at who might be the next Hand of the King.
Lord Lyonel Strong of the House Strong seems to be next in line to the title of the Hand. And the book Fire & Blood, on which House of the Dragon is based, confirms this.
In all the previous episodes, the King has consistently turned to and paid heed to Lyonel Strong; more than the other council members. Lord Lyonel has also always provided Viserys with wise counsel, mostly uncorrupted from personal motives.
Lyonel Strong is also the Master of Laws in Viserys’ small council. In the book, he is seen as a brute, but he studied at the Citadel, earning six links. In the latest photos, he is seen at the King’s table at the royal wedding. We also see Lord Lyonel accompany the King in public and to meetings.
