The fantastic platform provided by Game of Thrones let many new talents breakthrough. Joseph Quinn, who is best known to viewers as Eddie Munson from the fourth season of Stranger Things, was formerly a cast member of Game of Thrones. In the fourth episode of season seven of Game of Thrones, he portrayed Koner, a teenage Stark soldier manning the entrance to Winterfell. Quinn has left both Stranger Things and Thrones behind, and his new film has already been lauded by critics.
Joseph Quinn to star in ‘Hoard’
Quinn has proved his acting talent in both Game of Thrones and Stranger Things, and will now be starring in the upcoming drama ‘Hoard’. The film is written and directed by Luna Carmoon and will be presented at the Venice International Film Festival. The Stranger Things actor stars alongside Hayley Squires, Deba Hekmat, and Cathy Tyson. It is one of the few films to have landed a 100% Tomatometer rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
What is ‘Hoard’ about?
The official synopsis of the film reads: “1984, London: 7-year-old Maria and her mother live in their own loving world built on sorting through bins and collecting shiny rubbish. One night, their world falls apart, and we join Maria a decade later, living with her foster mother. An older stranger, Michael, then enters their home, opening the door to past trauma, magic, and madness…”
What is the release date for ‘Hoard’?
Hoard first premiered at the Venice International Film Festival, which recently ended on 9th September. There is no announcement of a worldwide release date yet, but we can expect it to arrive soon.
