Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow is a key part of James Gunn’s vision for the new DC Universe. Directed by Craig Gillespie, the film is based on the graphic novel by Tom King, which tells the story of Ruthye Marye Knoll, an alien girl who seeks Supergirl’s help to avenge her father’s death at the hands of the villain Krem of the Yellow Hills.

The graphic novel was nominated for “Best Limited Series” at the 2022 Eisner Awards and has been praised for its fresh and unique take on the Supergirl story. In the film, Alcock plays the titular hero, with Matthias Schoenaerts portraying the villain Krem, and Eve Ridley as Ruthye Marye Knoll, the girl who recruits Supergirl for justice.

The supporting cast includes David Krumholtz and Emily Beecham as Supergirl’s parents. Additionally, Jason Momoa will appear as the alien mercenary Lobo, and Krypto the Superdog will join Supergirl on this thrilling adventure
